Crop-MATCHING joins thERBN EU open training session on rural bioeconomy
Crop-MATCHING participated as a sister project in thERBN's "EU Open Training Session "Collected Practices for Rural Bioeconomy", held online via MS Teams on Friday, 19 June 2026. The session brought together more than 40 participants and stakeholders from across Europe, including researchers, practicioners, advisors, policymakers, and representatives of rural communities creating a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange and collaboration on sustainable bioeconomy solutions.
Crop-MATCHING was presented in the session "Joining Forces for Rural Bioeconomy: Insights from Sister Projects", where its vision, objectives, innovative methodology, and expected impact on small-scale farming were highlighted. The project showcased how sustainable crop matching practices, knowledge transfer mechanisms, and digital innovation can support the transition towards more resilient, climate-smart, and resource-efficient agricultural systems.
The training session provided an excellent opportunity to strengthen collaboration with thERBN and other Horizon Europe sister projects, foster cross-project synergies, and exchange experiences and best practices. By participating in this initiative, Crop-MATCHING reinforced its commitment to promoting knowledge sharing, empowering rural stakeholders, and contributing to the development of a more sustainable, competitive, and inclusive European bioeconomy, while supporting the resilience of small-scale farms and rural communities
